A series of grenade attacks in Srinagar today put the valley back in the news... desperating! Why do we people need such a horrible event to get somehow back to reality, realising this conflict is not finished yet... But I need to update kind of a " risk-report " to all of you who have been asking about "what risks for tourists travelling in Kashmir ?" ... I was so happy to tell you about a good evolution of the situation, as it was now possible for both indian and western tourists to enjoy the beauties of the valley. A sleepy village 10 kms from Pahalgam , is the first step on the way to the world famous Kohlai glacier. From here one can also trek to Tarsar, Marsar lakes or Sonamarg.
