Many people died, many others were injured, lost their homes and have been facing the immense challenge of rebuilding their lives out of nothing.

Today, our thoughts are with them. The task is still huge; many displaced persons still live under tents that can hardly bear the rain. And a new and harsch winter season is approaching...

Many among you have shown their solidarity with the people of Kashmir, especially with those living on the Indian side of the LOC*.

We wish to thank you all for your gifts who have been brought in hands to the St-Joseph's Hospital in Baramulla, a place personally known to us.

Our friend, Mr Paul Beersmans, President of BASJAK, travelled to the Valley in August 2006 in order to hand over the money to the Hospital. The Hospital continues to provide care and assistance to the victims of the earthquake, especially women and children, living in the region of Baramulla and Uri.

We thank you deeply and sincerely for your financial support and, above all, we thank you for keeping alive in your heart and mind the People of Kashmir.
